Rock Ensemble

The Rock Ensemble program at That MUSIC PLACE provides a unique opportunity for our private lesson students who are studying guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, and voice to become active members of a band. Each band prepares and rehearses a show that they will perform in various venues in front of live audiences. Ensemble bands hold rehearsals weekly and can expect to perform approximately 15-20 shows per year.Heavy emphasis is placed on the members learning to work and play together as one unit to entertain the audience. Band members are encouraged to be creative with their performances and to try out new ideas for sound and visual effect. Students are also given opportunities to learn about the other instruments used in their band.

Ensemble is one of those activities that students will encounter in their lives that will give them back what they put into it. All band members are encouraged to participate as much as possible. They can ask questions, give feedback, listen to others ideas, and get involved.

Two bands are currently active in the Performance Ensemble program, OVERRIDE, and The Shards band.

Explore Spanish Language and culture in a safe and exciting environment. We'll discover language through music, games, foods, and arts & crafts. Never taken Spanish before? Camp is designed so that students can jump right in or continue from one session to the next. Snacks and supplies are included and each week ends with a fiesta!

Each Session lasts five days. Children going into grades K-2 have camp from 9 - 11:30 each morning. Camp for grades 3-5 lasts 12:30 to 3 each afternoon. The instructors, Connie Zornes-Padovani and Jennifer Brough have a combined twelve years experience teaching Spanish to young learners.

July 27th - 31st

The cost per one week session is $70. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class size will be limited. All fees are due with your registration. Late registration may be accepted based on available openings. Don't miss out! Sign up today!

Exploring Drama

A nine week introduction to the basics of acting for students entering 4th - 10th grades. In the first half of each class basic stage movement, using the imagination, improvisation, creating a character, costume, and set are just some of the areas covered. The class will learn a play that the students can perform after the last session. Performance place, day, and time to be announced.

Class Dates:

Wednesdays 8:30 am - 11:00 am June 17 - August 19 (No class July 22nd)
