Yoshiko Kunimitsu

Yoshiko received her Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music, Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and also received additional training at the Universitat Mozarteum in Salzburg Austria. During her formative years, her summers were spent at Aspen Music Festival and School, National Repertory Orchestra, American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and the Round Top Music Festival in Texas. In addition to maintaining a private studio in the South Dayton area, she is also a member of the Dayton Philharmonic and is owner operator of the Rosé Trio. She considers teaching to be her true calling – her top students have gone on to pursue music professionally. They have also won competitions at various levels and have won competitive audition titled chair positions in local youth orchestras.

Josh VantilBurgh
Josh is a music education major at Wright State University. For over 13 years, Josh has played with several orchestras, chamber groups, and as a solo artist. He has served as principal violinist with the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Wright State University Orchestra, and as co-Principal of the Wright State Chamber Orchestra. Josh has also performed as a violinist in musicals, operas, weddings, and other free-lance opportunities in and around the Dayton area. He has taught students of all skill levels and ages. Josh's students have successfully participated in OMEA conference and the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings Orchestra auditions.

Alice Tatum
Alice holds a Masters degree in Music Education. She has over 20 years of experience teaching music in public schools and in private lessons. Alice has many years of experience performing with area symphony orchestras and is currently an active member of the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra.  

Dr. Barbara Van Doren
Barb holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree, a Master of Arts in Religious Education, and a Ph.D in Ministry. She has over 35 years of experience teaching in both public schools and in private lessons. Barb has over 30 years of experience performing in the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra.  

Nancy Mullins
Nancy is a seasoned performer, including serving as concert mistress with several area orchestras. She is a successful teacher with a history of producing strong players. Several of her students have auditioned for, and been chosen to play in area orchestras.

Mark Reis

Viola & Violin
Mark holds a Masters degree in Music from Miami University Oxford.  As a performer, Mark can be found as section violist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and has been a guest artisit on the Symphony Sundae Series. He was the first registered Suzuki Viola Instructor in Ohio.  His teaching experience includes being an adjunct faculty instructor at Sinclair college and Dayton Public Schools.
